Whether face powder, compact powder, eye make-up or soft powder: microfine powders ensure intensive, uniform colours and are easy to apply evenly and comfortably. The manufacture of such high-grade cosmetic articles is complex. The production of powder mixtures made up of pigments, carriers, fragrance and care components is challenging because all constituents need to be uniformly micronised. The manufacture takes place under stringent statutory hygiene conditions.
Frequent product and colour changes call for uncomplicated cleaning and a perfect cleaning result. Not least because of these challenges, many leading cosmetics manufacturers produce high-grade, cosmetic products in powder form using Hosokawa Alpine systems.

Hosokawa Alpine grinding systems are developed especially with the requirements of the cosmetics industry in mind. Not least because of our experience in the pharmaceuticals branch, our perfected cGMP system design delivers excellent results when micronising critical materials which have a tendency to deposit. It goes without saying that if the product is changed often, the system can be cleaned quickly and without residues – if desired fully automatically.
With compact systems, a maximum yield is achieved in the case of high-grade products. The optional wear protection prevents the grey film caused by metal abrasion. The high degree of automation and the comprehensive documentation guarantee constant high quality.
